5 months ago I had my upper teeth pulled and 4 implants put in so I could have snap on dentures . Every since surgery my stomach hurts. I’ve had cat scans ultrasounds all gi work all organs seem ok. But I’m sick every day. Thanks for the above info. I’ll ask my doc to test me for posion i was a very active person. Now I can’t even shop. Ha ha

I have been experiencing what the dentist calls burning mouth syndrome since 4 months after the implants went in. It gets worse and worse every day from exploding swellings on the back of my tongue to burning all over my mouth to blisters that bleed. These things should be outlawed. No insurance and now I have to find someone who will remove them.

Thanks for your information. I knew we were waiting for ceramic implants and learned it is here from your site!!!
I also want to say that I wish stem cells were available for getting a second set of adult teeth. Stem cells can be used for other organs. It is hard to understand why it cannot get here to the U. S. I know that I can fly out of this country and pay an enormous amount of money to have stem cells in another country. Sad. I am 69 and have little money for the above. My life is on hold with my loss of teeth so hopefully I can get a payment plan with the ceramic implants.

I had 3 implants 3 yrs. ago. They healed perfectly. The problem occurred when the final caps were cemented. I’ve had burning on the palate side ever since. Numerous drs. have looked and said the implants are solid, and the gums look healthy. I also have a very dry mouth. One of the drs. said he is going to do a workup on my estrogen levels, as the dry mouth may be affecting the burning of the tissue. I also had a brain scan for trigeminal neuralgia which was normal. I just read an article about TN which one patient said certain foods causes her some facial pain and burning.

I appreciate this web site which it took awhile for me to find in my search. I just got upper & lower parcial dentures and am worried about the metal-type or content in the metal used. Further, I mentioned the dangers of flouride to my dentist who was fairly outraged by the claim. Search “dangers of flouride” and it will surprise people to find so many sites explaining the toxicity and dangers of flouride. Our environmental dept in NM tested my well water and found low amounts, but warned about flouride.

I wish I had read this before having titanium implants. I insisted the doc remove them and he removed one. still sitting with emormous headaches after nearlt 3 weeks, edema, pain (for which iv been hospitalised 5 times) and 3 ulcers from medication. Back on antibiotics-but pain and swelling still there. Not even child birth compares to this. Jaw cant open properly, depressed,weepy. any comments???

Very interesting information. My 14-yr-old son is congenitally missing his two lower central incisors and lost one of his upper front teeth when he was accidentally injured a couple of years ago. He has finished orthodonture and we are anticipating having him get implants in a few years when he is physically mature. I will definitely inquire about alternatives to the metal-based implants.

Also, I have silver fillings and two large gold crowns (due to bruxism). I hate the gold crowns but was talked into it by the dentist who told me that gold was softer that porcelain and would not wear away my remaining teeth. I have a lot of sensitivity whenever a spoon touches my teeth.
