Waiting to give the DTaP or PVC until 2 years of age makes it almost useless since those diseases effect infants and young children the most. I don't disagree with waiting on live virus' or mercury but there are vaccine's that are needed from 2 months to 2 years. If you are interested in vaccinating your child and want an alternate schedule I would use Dr. Sears (askdrsears.com) and read his Vaccine book. This schedule doesn't make sense at all.

I think vaccine safety is incredibly important. And it's quite sad there is such controversy surrounding the topic.

This isn't an issue of taking something personal or putting your defenses up if you are a pediatrician who is on-board the vaccine train.

It's an issue of understanding every child is different, each child has a unique chemical make up and that should be considered above all else when it comes to vaccinations and the risks involved.

Vaccinations do not by themselves cause epidemics, but I do believe they can trigger immune sensitivities if they are given too frequently or if they are given to a sick child. And I wish people could make that distinction. I hope this post of yours reaches a lot of people. I'll be sharing.
